Active Citizen is a program by British Council in the area of intercultural dialogue and global citizenship which is operated by the principle "globally connected, locally engaged".
After attending the European Forum Alpbach 2012, we decided to invite some of the scholarship holders from Bosnia and Herzegovina to join us in our work.
This way, we have a great pleasure to welcome Nejra SELIMOVIĆ, Senada JAŠAREVIĆ, Kemal KOŠTREBIĆ and Amir HADŽUGLIĆ as members of Initiative Group Alpbach in Sarajevo.
It is our goal to promote education and opportunities for young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, by promoting European Forum Alpbach and by organizing a range of activities at universities in our country and we believe we can be more successful by getting a new, fresh perspective from our new members.
After returning from the 68th European Forum Alpbach, members of the Initiative Group Alpbach ih Sarajevo organized the 4th Sarajevo World Café on September 26th at the School of Economics and Business. The main theme of the latest World Café was Our Expectations: Future of Culture and Arts in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
European Forum Alpbach (EFA) 2012 was held from August 16th to September 1st in Alpbach, Austria. This Forum gathers more than 3000 participants from more than 50 countries all over the world.
The main topic of this years' Forum was Expectations - The Future of The Young. Thanks to the EFA scholarship program, 16 scholarship holders from Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in the Forum.
